The intermediate room is a gateway from speaking to writing. In these first years of life, your child has the aptitude to develop language at rapid speed! Our teachers provide the opportunity to encourage this language expansion by reading with your child, reinforcing letter and sound recognition, and teaching your child fundamental writing skills. Throughout your child's journey in our program, we will provide plenty of opportunities to exercise his/her fine motor skills through manipulative play. During this class, children also learn to master the sounds of the alphabet so that they may form their very first reading words. Every week in this class we will also build story and handprint books, have fun with numbers, move along to rhythm and music, and cook exciting new recipes!
